The foundations of his work trace back to the research laboratories of the CHUL, where he witnessed the transformative power of science at age 15. This experience instilled a core philosophy: research only holds value when it serves a concrete purpose.
Following an extensive academic path in biochemistry, administration, and physiology and endocrinology, Dr. Eric Dupont shifted his focus from theory to building. He sought to move science out of the lab and into the real world. He currently holds nine patents in oncology, dermatology, endocrinology, cosmetics, and nutrition.

Over several decades, Dr. Eric Dupont has fueled the growth of industry-defining life science companies through innovation, becoming a global pioneer in active ingredients for cosmetics and supplements and supplying thousands of clients worldwide.
Under the leadership of Dr. Eric Dupont, ATRIUM INNOVATIONS became one of the world's leading science-based natural health companies. A scientist, entrepreneur, and author of numerous published studies, Dr. Dupont built his career by combining scientific innovation with commercial success.
Before founding Atrium, he established Aeterna Laboratories, a biotechnology company focused on developing innovative therapies for serious diseases. He later co-founded ATRIUM INNOVATIONS and transformed it into a global natural health leader through a strong commitment to scientific research, product quality, and strategic acquisitions.Under his leadership, Atrium acquired renowned brands including Garden of Life, Pure Encapsulations, and Douglas Laboratories, expanded to more than 35 countries, and grew to approximately US$700 million in annual revenue.
In 2017, ATRIUM INNOVATIONS was acquired by Nestlé Health Science for US$2.3 billion, one of the largest transactions in the history of the natural health products industry. Today, Dr. Dupont is widely recognized as one of Canada's most accomplished entrepreneurs in biotechnology, nutrition, and natural health.
Following the successful growth and sale of Atrium Innovations, Dr. Eric Dupont turned his focus to skin health and healthy aging. Alongside his brother Luc Dupont, he cofounded Integral Dermo Correction (IDC), a Canadian dermocosmetics company founded on the belief that skincare should be driven by science, not marketing trends.
Drawing on his expertise in physiology, endocrinology, biotechnology, and product development, Dr. Dupont brought together an international network of researchers to study the biological mechanisms of skin aging. Years of research led to scientific publications and patented technologies designed to address the root causes of aging, not just its visible signs.
Under his scientific leadership, IDC pioneered an integrated approach to dermocosmetics, targeting multiple biological pathways involved in skin aging. This research led to the development of its patented ReGen technology, helping establish IDC as a recognized name in science-based anti-aging skincare.
Today, IDC products are developed and manufactured in Canada, combining rigorous research and innovative formulations to deliver meaningful results. The company continues Dr. Dupont's lifelong mission of turning scientific discoveries into products that improve health and quality of life.

Co-authored by Christine Michaud, Dr. Diane Bilodeau, and Dr. Christian Fortin, with prefaces by Dr. Gerald Batist (oncologist), Dr. Jean-Pierre Després (researcher), and Dr. Christophe Fauré (psychiatrist), the book moves beyond isolated approaches to wellness to explore how the body’s systems, functions, and needs are deeply interconnected.
By connecting the dots between nutrition, metabolism, physiology, and overall health, it presents a more demanding and holistic framework for living better for longer, grounded in a deep understanding of how the human body works.
